Our team
At Sumo Logic, Business Enablement team is responsible for mainly three vertical pillars, Customer Signups, Billing & Subsciption Management, Sumo Organizations (Multi Account Management), Cost Visibility & management. Team manages Customer Signups from Sumologic website, We also have presence in Partner integrations like AWS, Heroku & Jfrog where we provide OOTB onboarding experience.
Billing & Subscription management, includes Pricing & packaging, Customer checkout workflow, Integration with Subscription Management tool, Enabling our Sales engineers & Provisioning team to upgrade customer to Enterprise plan type.
Sumo Organizations is a modern approach for MSPs & MSSPs to centrally manage multiple customer deployments utilizing the Sumo Logic Continuous Intelligence Platform & Cloud SIEM. Sumo Organizations allows managed service providers to achieve increased operational visibility, management & cost controls for enterprise security & operations teams, while providing secure & easy access to all your customer environments from a single management interface
Cost Visibility & Management helps customers analyse their credit spend in Sumologic to finer details & also help manage their cost by putting guardrails.
Your responsibilities
As part of the log search team, you will be responsible to:
- Help build new features, ensuring the existing services scale up to ever growing data requirements, unblocking customers & evolving search as a platform for other product areas.
- Lead & mentor a team of software engineers.
- Create an environment to foster professional & personal growth of each individual engineer in the team.
- Hire, develop & retain a strong team of engineers when required.
- Partner with Product Management & Design to lead feature execution & deliver new features with a great user experience.
- Partner with Finance, Provisioning team, Sales Engineers & many other functions.
- Collaborate with product management, architects, & other engineering teams to create the technical vision & road map for the team.
- Work effectively with Ops/SRE & customer success teams to ensure timely response & resolutions to customer escalations & production issues.
- Lead the design, development, & testing of large-scale, low latency high-volume microservices.
- Define & drive the best software development/engineering & operational practices for the team.
- Become an expert in the core Sumo Logic technologies (Scala, AWS, service-oriented architectures).
- Be able to communicate to stakeholders outside of engineering on technical matters, including customers.
Your qualifications
- Previous leadership/management experience (2+ years) in building & leading teams including hiring, retaining & managing performance.
- Total experience of 8+ years of hands-on engineering & management.
- Strong technical aptitude to lead an engineering team
- Ability to meet challenges under demanding conditions & keep calm under pressure.
- Organized & able to work with many people to deliver product features on tight schedules.
- Agile development experience.
- A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Microservices, Data Structures, Algorithms & Problem Solving
- B. Tech / M. Tech/ MS / PhD in Computer Science or related discipline.
