THE INTERNSHIP - Strategic Partnerships - Washington, D.C.
As a Strategic Partnerships Intern at MPOWER Financing, you will support the outreach of MPOWERs Refinance loan program among alumni of the U.S. Universities & Employer Loan Marketplaces. Your primary strategy involves collaborating with alumni associations to facilitate this. You will get an exposure to real-world marketing strategies & practices. You will lead an individual project, which will be presented to the Executive team at the end of the internship & will receive mentorship from our leaders.
Were looking for interns who can think creatively & analytically, embrace ambiguity & thrive in an entrepreneurial environment & have a solution-focused mindset driven by making an impact.
- Developing an outreach strategy for Refi loan products to penetrate the student loan segment
- Preparing & delivering product presentations to alumni associates & other partners
- Identifying recent trends in refi loans in the study abroad loans/fintech industry
- Analyzing & researching to identify potential alumni associations, understand their dynamics, & tailor outreach strategies accordingly
- Identifying & recommending new business opportunities through active networking
THE QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, STEM or related fields
- Strong networking skills with global exposure highly preferable
- Basic understanding of financial products, especially student loans & refinancing options
- Familiarity with marketing principles & social media platforms will be an advantage
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, & PowerPoint are a must
- Fintech/Edtech experience will be an advantage
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills with the ability present complex information clearly & concisely to different stakeholders
A passion for financial inclusion & access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple time zones & locations!
In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles & responsibilities, variable workload, tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, & 80-20 everything.
