WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
The Box People team is looking for a People Partner who loves working on challenging problems, coaching leaders & working with a fun & dynamic business!

This role will support our Engineering team of our Build organization. Youll partner with the leadership team to develop & execute People strategies that are focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, & employee engagement. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities & translate them into the highest impact work. Youll help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention & the employee experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Align business objectives with corporate leaders including our Build leadership, employees & management; serve as a strategic partner to leadership on people-related issues.
• Partner with rest of Build People Partner team on cross-functional, Build driven people initiatives & projects
• Develop & maintain effective partnerships with org leaders, managers & individual contributors.
• Work closely with leadership & managers on organizational design & change initiatives, people/performance decisions & actions, talent management & development, employee engagement, culture & communication, & people program roll outs. 
• Partner with other People functions & internal resources to drive & execute corporate-wide People initiatives & programs. 
• Coach senior management & managers through employee related issues & Box people processes.
• Assess organizational health & effectiveness on a regular basis pulse of the organization & identify opportunities to drive improvements & efficiencies. 
• Constructively challenge the status quo for purpose of improving outcomes or processes. 
• Liaise between the People Team, client groups, & other stakeholders at Box, all while representing Box values & culture. 

WHO YOU ARE 

• 1+ year People Business Partner experience and; 2+ years of direct HR experience or adjacent role.
• Located in our Redwood City Office.
• Undergraduate degree, required; advanced degree, desirable. 
• General knowledge of all functional areas in HR. 
• A business consultant to our Engineering leadership to support their efforts to recruit, manage, train, & mentor senior staff & adhere to professional practice requirements.
• Help drive an organization that aligns to business objectives, communicate this vision to executive management & inspire team members to execute on that vision. 
• Approaches technology as a means to solve business problems, rather than an end in itself.
• Excellent communication, mediation, & interpersonal skills. 
• Operates with utmost integrity & respect. 
• Demonstrated ability scaling processes & managing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to think critically, problem solve, & recommend effective solutions. 
• Must be able to flex work style - strategic, operational & tactical - & partner effectively across functional teams, & employee levels. 
• Exceptional organization & project management skills.
• Knowledge of the tech industry with plus for enterprise & cloud technologies.
