Job Description

As the Maintenance Supervisor at Youfoodz, you will play a key role in ensuring our equipment & production environment run smoothly, efficiently, & with minimal downtime. You'll be responsible for coordinating both preventative & reactive maintenance across all equipment, responding swiftly to breakdowns, & supporting the production team as needed.

This hands-on role involves leading by example - supporting fitters & electricians with fault finding, troubleshooting, & repair decision-making. Youll also contribute to capital projects & continuous improvement initiatives, helping drive operational excellence across the facility.

This role is based in Karawatha, Brisbane & reporting to the Engineering Manager.

You will

• Oversee & schedule preventative & reactive maintenance using the Computerised Maintenance Management System.
• Lead maintenance staff & ensure work is completed to a high standard in line with QMS procedures.
• Respond to breakdowns, assist with fault finding, & minimise production downtime.
• Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts & manage inventory.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime & improve equipment efficiency.
• Provide regular updates & reports to the Engineering Manager on equipment performance & site conditions.
• Assist with capital projects, new equipment installations, & attend audit meetings as required.
• Travel to other sites for maintenance & repair work when necessary.

You Have

• A trade qualification as an electrician, mechanical fitter, or in a similar discipline
• 5+ years of experience leading a maintenance team in a food manufacturing environment
• 5+ years experience maintaining electromechanical machinery, including mechanical & electrical fault finding
• A solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, & automated machinery, including PLC programming
• A current open manual driver's licence
• Desirable: A forklift license & TIG welding or fabrication skils

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.
