The role

We are looking for a talented & experienced Category Manager to become part of our International Procurement Team. Your role will involve developing & implementing a category strategy spanning multiple markets across Europe & Australasia. As an International Category Manager, you will collaborate closely with both local & global stakeholders & ensure we source high-quality ingredients at the best costs.

What youll do

• Develop & implement a category strategy that aligns with our overall objectives & supply chain requirements.
• Identify, select, & manage relationships with key suppliers & vendors across various markets.
• Lead supplier negotiations to ensure the best possible terms & conditions.
• Identify & implement cost reduction opportunities by leveraging volumes & improving processes in different markets.
• Conduct make-or-buy analyses to ensure well-informed strategic procurement decisions.
• Develop robust cost models using in-depth analysis, & monitor essential commodity prices to ensure we pay fair & accurate prices.
• Forecast future cost pricing utilising data, industry knowledge, & insights to make well-founded assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive & execute procurement projects & initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between category strategy & business objectives.
• Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, & emerging technologies to identify potential risks & opportunities.

What youll bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree from a top-tier college or university, preferably in business, engineering, supply chain, finance, or science.
• Minimum of 3 years of strategic procurement or production experience, preferably in the food or food-packaging industry, or alternatively as a management consultant with a focus on operations.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative, work independently, & drive implementation.
• Strong communication skills & the ability to work successfully in flexible team structures around the world.
• Excellent organizational & project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing complex cross-functional projects
• Capability to excel in flexible global team structures amid a reasonable degree of uncertainty.
• Comfortable managing complex projects, including developing new processes, SLAs, & KPIs.
• Exceptional at devising creative & unconventional solutions to supply issues, as well as designing, communicating, & executing action plans for effective resolution.
• Convincing track record of successful negotiations with external partners.
• Strong quantitative & analytical skills.
• Excellent English proficiency is required, plus another European language (ideally Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch...).
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
