What is the key purpose of a Learning & Development Manager/Director? As a Learning & Development (L&D) Manager/Director on the HR team in London, you will be responsible for establishing & enhancing global learning, development, & engagement programs that empower our organization, teams, managers, & employees to grow both personally & professionally. What skills & qualifications do I need? Essential:
- 7-10 years of related experience, with at least 4 years focused on training & development
- Experience driving an L&D roadmap in a global workforce
- Ability to gather & interpret data
- Comfortable pitching L&D concepts to various business stakeholders, including senior management & executives
- Highly skilled in preparing & delivering presentations & other written content
- High proficiency in English (written & spoken)
Nice to Have:
- Proven change management experience in a technology environment
What will you do on a regular basis? Design & Implement L&D Strategies:
- Lead the creation & execution of the L&D roadmap, covering:
- Leadership & Management Development
- High-Potential Development / Talent Management programs
- DEI-related educational programs
- Tailor global & local L&D solutions to align with the global business strategy & hybrid work environment
- Develop & implement strategies for people-management capabilities, focusing on leadership in a hybrid setting (including training, coaching, & mentoring)
Program Development & Culture Building:
- Create tools, frameworks, & standards to support employee growth across the employee lifecycle
- Play a key role in strengthening company culture, embedding it into all people-related practices
- Conduct research on L&D trends & test new tools to drive continuous improvement
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with the HRBP team & leadership to introduce or refine L&D programs
- Organize & lead events like training sessions, focus groups, & consultation meetings
- Act as a trusted consultant & subject matter expert in L&D for business stakeholders
Program Evaluation & Vendor Management:
- Monitor & evaluate the L&D plan & track budget usage on a monthly, quarterly, & yearly basis
- Manage external vendors, contracts, & the invoicing process to ensure smooth program delivery
