Role Description
DocSend helps customers securely manage, track, & share documents. Whether customers are closing a deal, raising capital, or collaborating on sensitive projects, they have complete control over their documents with DocSend. DocSend was acquired by Dropbox in 2021 & has grown significantly since then, providing each member on the team a wide scope for ownership & impact.
As a Product Designer on the DocSend team, youll own many of our core product workflows, & play a key role in enabling us to deliver on our customer commitments & business goals. We are consistently adding new features to DocSend to solve more problems for our customers. Your contribution will ensure that these features have high quality visual design, & are intuitive & easy to use for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Impact. Have a bias for action & deliver high-quality work that adds the most value for customers & our business.
- Customer focus. Understand the needs of DocSend customers & validate that proposed solutions solve their problems.
- Interaction design. Design tasks that are easy & efficient for customers to complete, incorporating multiple states, edge cases, micro-interactions and/or accessibility requirements.
- Visual design. Consistently practice good use of visual design skills (color, layout, typography, visual hierarchy)
- Communication. Clear verbal & written communication. Proactively identify issues & share information to ensure stakeholders are informed & aligned.
- Solution generation. Explore solutions in varying degrees of fidelity. Generate ideas based on multiple inputs (audits, research, data), using known patterns when appropriate.
- Product strategy. Understand how our business works & how our product strategy supports it. Designs customer-centric solutions aligned to vision & objectives.
- Decision-making. Identify & gather input from the right stakeholders & consider customer needs to make informed & timely decisions.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of product design work experience
- High craft bar & attention to detail in visual design, interaction design, & prototyping
- Experience with common prototyping tools to demonstrate complex features & flows in web experiences
- Ability to describe impact in quantitative/business metrics as well as qualitative methods
- Experience across the product development lifecycle from discovery through shipping & iteration
- Demonstrated skills for collaborating closely with product managers, engineers and customers in order to achieve better design outcomes
- Familiarity with designing for B2B SaaS products
- Ownership mindset with a bias towards action, helping to drive teams & projects forward.
