Area Manager II Phoenix AZ

Allocate duties & monitor activity & workflow to ensure that all warehouse production deadlines are met.

Essential Functions

1. Confer with Warehouse Managers & fellow supervisory team throughout distribution center to ensure coordination of all warehouse activities
2. Coordinate with production team to ensure all organizational systems are functioning efficiently
3. Oversee organization & staging of product for meal kits, ensuring sufficient product is always on hand
4. Oversee organization & staging of bundling for meal kits, ensuring sufficient product is always on hand
5. Oversee production & flow of outbound kits, ensuring accurate carrier pickup
6. Maintain timely updates of productivity throughout shift, promptly communicating any deviations from plan
7. Monitor proper use & safe handling of distribution equipment
8. Monitor weekly scheduling of team leads & team members
9. Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines ,production processes are properly executed, & items produced comply with stringent GMP guidelines
10. Identify & address GMP violations
11. Timely completion of Team Lead Evaluation Checklists
12. Communicate all staffing concerns with Warehouse Distribution Manager
13. Promptly communicate all safety related issues & concerns
14. Any & all other functions as determined by management

Supervisory Responsibility

1. Supervise & effectively lead warehouse food production team leads & team members

Work Environment

1. Temperature controlled warehouse environment
2. Must be able to withstand temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Fahrenheit to ambient room temperature

Physical Demands

1. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly  
2. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
3. Regular stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, & walking

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days & hours of work are varied according to shift & production schedule. The employee is expected to work no less than the designated 40 hour work week. Significant weekend work depending on production schedules.

Required Education & Experience

1. Bachelor's Degree & High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
2. 2+ years supervising in a food distribution or food production facility
3. HACCP certification (preferred)
4. SQF certification (bonus points)
