The Product Strategist role includes components of strategy (e.g. analyzing & understanding new trends in the industry), operations (e.g. defining success metrics, evaluating experiments), & communications. The Product Strategist will gather requirements for our new products & features & share them with the PMs & stakeholders, & once ready, get these new products & features to our clients.

This role is part of a cross functional team that creates products to serve advertisers & partners across the digital landscape. The role requires big data analyses & attention to detail, as well as a good product intuition. Communication skills are incredibly important, as the position interfaces heavily at all levels & across functions both inside DoubleVerify & with our clients & partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inform, influence, support, & execute product decisions & product launches
  • Gather & analyze large amounts of information; develop compelling, insightful recommendations
  • Product Operations
    • Evaluating & defining success metrics
    • Designing & evaluating experiments
    • Monitoring key product metrics, understanding the root causes of changes in metrics
  • Exploratory Analysis
    • Proposing what to build in the next roadmap
    • Understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, & long-term trends
    • Conducting user research & user interviews
    • Competitive research
  • Product Leadership
    • Communicating the product vision & roadmap to stakeholders, & foster collaboration through knowledge sharing
    • Influencing product teams through presentation of data-based recommendations
    • Communicating state of business, experiment results, etc. to product teams
  • Articulating products to Sales, Marketing & Sales Operations:
    • Act as the subject matter expert for the DoubleVerify Client Services & sales teams in terms of best practices, product capabilities & ongoing support
  • Creating product documentation for internal & external customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, & critical thinking
  • 6+ years of combined full time working experience
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Familiarity with SQL & data analysis tools
  • Autodidact - can dive into new subjects, identify knowledge sources & ask the right questions to learn new technologies, markets, & concepts - independently & quickly
  • Organized with a rigorous attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in Product Analytics, Product Strategy or Product Management
  • 6+ years experience doing quantitative analysis
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field
  • Masters degree
  • SQL & data analysis skills, including hands-on experience
  • Understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression)
  • Passion & desire to play a key role in the success of DoubleVerify
