We use scientific methods to extract insights from that data, which our clients use to answer their most important questions. As our new Product Manager of Data Science, youre key to bringing that promise to life. You collaborate across teams to discover new opportunities to apply our data science expertise. Youre an expert in the drivers of our business & prioritize meaningful customer problems. And youre supercharging a formidable R&D team with clear ownership & passion to form the future.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as product owner for our Data Science mission: prioritizing initiatives, managing the roadmap, leading agile ceremonies, & aligning goals with our overall strategy.
- Identify opportunities to use data science to serve customers & internal partners, with applications across data acquisition, data extraction, search, recommendations, classification & taxonomy, predictive algorithms, & commercial insights.
- Understand & evaluate the business value of potential new use cases. Prioritize opportunities based on customer & commercial impact.
- Mature our AI/ML product development processes, emphasizing alignment with key stakeholders & clarity of decision making.
- Drive new initiatives from ideation through development, testing, & implementation.
- Define & monitor success criteria for each initiative & the broader mission.
- Translate the impact of technical results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Advocate for CBI Data Science with the product & engineering organization, other departments, & the broader market.
Key Competencies:
- At least 3 years of product management experience, & at least 5 years total professional experience in a big data environment.
- Excellent at data analysis; highly proficient with SQL
- Prior experience in a product or analytical role connected to data science
- An understanding of artificial intelligence concepts include machine learning & natural language processing
- Deep user empathy with tools for continuous discovery
- Rigorous decision quality. Ruthlessly prioritizes opportunities for commercial value. Structured, deductive, & quantitative thinker.
- Experience defining & realizing developer & user engagement product strategies with clear metrics
- Entrepreneurial. Has shipped products from ideation through delivery while in rapid growth mode. Strong bias to execution.
