We are looking for an engineer who will help lead the development & support of current & future storage platforms at scale.

The Storage Team supports the operations & development of block volumes, backups & image management, & object storage.  The ultimate goal of the Droplet Storage Team is to create a cohesive singular interface to hypervisor storage where storage class placement decisions are transparent to the hypervisor client & take advantage of the full range of available block storage classes to best satisfy customer needs.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to make impactful contributions to key software, contribute to the open source community, & debug interesting problems at cloudscale.

• Supporting the creation & operations of distributed systems
• Programming in Go & other languages

• Knowledge of Object Storage & distributed File Systems & how to scale those solutions. 
• Cultivating your skills, learning languages, & teaming up with an agile, self-motivated group of peers to design, develop, test & deploy software in modern tools & languages such as Go.
• Sharing responsibility for maintaining the availability & performance of storage products

• Familiarity with concurrency / parallelism models in a modern programming languageBonus:

• We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $125,000 - $156,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, & skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company & individual performance.
