As a Frontend Engineer in the dashboard team, you will be part of our continuous intelligence platform portfolio.

What you will do:

• Build a rich user interface primarily for our mission-critical high-availability analytics platform using React & TypeScript
• Participate in user experience design, & architecture initiatives and lead regular code reviews with a major focus on ease of use, visual appeal, re-usability, & performance
• Instrument & measure UI performance with well-defined SLIs to provide best-in-class experience for customers
• Collaborate with feature & component teams during both design & development phases to ensure adherence to UI architectural standards & best practices
• Evaluate, test & provide technology & design recommendations
• Write detailed design documents & documentation on system design & implementation
• Promote cross-team awareness to optimize code-sharing & decrease time to market

  Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 2-4 years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership (This is not a new grad role & not a Senior role)
• Experience with Javascript, Typescript, react, redux
• Understand the performance characteristics of commonly used data structures (maps, lists, trees, etc)
• Desire to learn Scala, an up-and-coming JVM language (scala-lang.org)

 Desirable:

• Experience in multi-threaded programming & distributed systems is highly desirable
• Experience in big data and/or 24x7 commercial service is highly desirable
• You should be happy working with Unix (Linux, OS X)
• Agile software development experience (test-driven development, iterative & incremental development) is a plus
• Enjoy working in an environment where stuffed squirrels & rubber bands are occasionally hurled at you

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $144,000 + full benefits. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but arent limited to) role level, skills & competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, & experience.
