The Squarespace Payment Operations & Risk team is growing. We're looking for an analyst that has a background in fraud/risk in either e-commerce, Payments, FinTech, online marketplaces, or similar digital businesses. You will help lay the foundation for a world-class Payments & Risk Operations function, partnering closely with Finance, Customer Operations, Security, & Trust & Safety to proactively identify & reduce fraudulent activity across the platform.

You will report to the Payment Operations & Risk Manager & work from our office in Dublin.

This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 3 days per week.

You'll Get To

• Continuously monitor & evaluate fraud & merchant portfolio risks through internal & external reports & tools.
• Identify high risk merchants based on known trends & risk signals.
• Investigate/resolve escalated cases of account suspensions.
• Conduct merchant & transaction level risk reviews to assess risk at on-boarding & beyond.
• Make decisions to approve/reject/escalate users for further information.
• Maintain & improve current risk reporting.
• Partner with the Payments & Customer Operations team to resolve escalated client issues.
• Identify fraud rings & patterns of abuse.
• Help with designing, implementing, & monitoring new methodologies & metrics for risk process & policy effectiveness.
• Provide training & mentorship for new Risk Analysts as the team expands.

Who We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in evaluating & mitigating merchant risk for loss and/or fraud.
• Knowledge of payment processing, underwriting, financial statements, & basic bank & association rules.
• You bring strong experience working with risk & payments tools such as Sift, Sardine, Stripe, Plaid, & Adyen, & you're comfortable quickly learning & exploring new software to continuously improve our service.
• You have experience using data to back up assumptions & make recommendations.
• You're collaborative & know how to connect the dots between teams & manage cross-functional initiatives
• You are curious, like to dig for answers to the unknown, & are comfortable making decisions autonomously
