About the Role

Be a part of our extraordinary Merchandising team & gain coveted experience in buying, merchandising & product development. We're looking for an individual who has a keen eye for style & trends to help support our buying process. 
As a Buying Coordinator, you will support a buying team over a specific product category/categories by owning purchase order management as well as the end-to-end sample process.  

You're excited about this opportunity because you will

  • Own all Purchase Order writing & changes to ensure on-time delivery of product to warehouses
  • Communicate professionally & efficiently with vendor partners on Purchase Order requests & statuses
  • Catalog inventory within internal merchandising database using knowledge of fashion, style & garment construction
  • Manage HQ sample closets for owned categories
  • Analyze weekly sample reports, ensure data integrity across all Buying systems & identify business needs/issues for follow up
  • Participate in ongoing competitive shopping across the marketplace & present trend research recaps quarterly
  • Work with cross functional partners, build relationships & develop a strong understanding of each function in the Buying, Styling & Planning organizations
  • Work with Photo Studio to ensure that all samples have been added into inventory database & photographed for go-live status
  • Prep Buying team for milestone meetings, vendor appointments & market travel
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects across Merchandising as the opportunity arises

  • You have a Bachelors Degree, focus in Business or Retail Studies preferred
  • You have prior work or internship experience & are passionate about applying your skills & knowledge to a career in Buying and/or Merchandising
  • You are systems savvy, especially proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint), & have a knack for learning new systems quickly
  • You are extremely detail oriented & comfortable working with qualitative & quantitative data
  • You possess excellent communication skills & are comfortable working with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds
  • You are naturally curious, excited about learning new things & identifying problems to solve
  • You are resourceful, take pride in your work & show initiative
  • You are able to regularly commute to HQ in San Francisco, CA

Compensation & Benefits

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, & the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire & ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee & company performance.
