The role

As a (Senior) Manager for Procurement Value Engineering at HelloFresh, you will contribute to strengthening our Procurement, Supply Chain & FSQA performance globally. You will support the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across the end-to-end value chain, focusing on spend optimization, margin enhancement, operational efficiency, & supplier network improvements that directly influence EBIT/COGS as well as product freshness & quality.

In this position, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams - incl. Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, DC Fulfilment, Finance, Product (for New Ingredient Developments) & Quality - to drive impactful initiatives across HelloFreshs 18 markets on three continents.
Your work will encompass value engineering, route-to-market strategies, ingredient & packaging innovation, & the continuous improvement of processes both internally & with suppliers.

What youll do

Value Engineering & Cost/Margin Optimization

• Identify & deliver cross-functional improvement initiatives across the end-to-end value chain, improving EBIT, COGS, & Free Cash Flow.
• Support spend optimization with Strategic Procurement across Directs & Indirects, driving margin-enhancing strategies that balance cost, quality, & service.
• Improve inventory management & working capital efficiency by addressing structural supply chain & operational optimization opportunities.

Supplier & Operational Performance Improvement

• Conduct process reviews with suppliers & distribution centers (e.g., value stream mapping, lean assessments) to enhance productivity, compliance with specifications, & overall product handling standards.
• Drive ingredient quality improvements & enablement initiatives across suppliers, upstream logistics, & fulfillment centers.
• Benchmark & harmonize procurement & supply chain processes to improve supplier performance, operational consistency, & cross-market best practice adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration, Innovation & Execution Excellence

• Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Product & Quality functions to support New / Existing Ingredient Development (NID), innovation initiatives, & route-to-market improvements.
• Use analytics & business judgment to structure & solve complex operational challenges, preparing clear & actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Promote a culture of collaboration & continuous improvement within the procurement & supply chain community, ensuring effective execution of initiatives across clusters & geographies.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 30% of time

What youll bring

• An exceptional academic record with degree from a top-tier college or university (Engineering or Business degrees preferred)
• 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, continuous improvement, or top-tier consulting, with exposure to operational improvement & cross-functional project management in fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency improvements, cost optimization initiatives, & performance metrics, complemented by strong analytical & strategic thinking skills
• Experience working with cross-functional & multi-site teams, ideally across regional markets or multiple geographies
• Strong project management skills & proven stakeholder management across diverse groups
• Solid competencies in data analysis, lean methods, problem-solving techniques, & structuring of complex improvement programs
• A progressive, hands-on operating mindset with the ability to lead change initiatives in dynamic environments at speed
• Interest to travel abroad to our sites, mainly within Europe (up to 30%)
• Fluent business English knowledge mandatory; German & other European languages are considered a plus
