THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION BASED IN BANGALORE, INDIA
THE ROLE
As the SEO Manager, you will play a key role in driving organic growth through the development & execution of SEO strategies that increase search engine visibility, enhance website performance, & generate quality organic traffic. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, design, & development, to ensure that SEO best practices are integrated throughout the digital experience on both MPOWERfinancing.com & its affiliated sites.
- Elevating & driving the implementation of comprehensive SEO strategies that align with business objectives to improve organic search rankings & traffic that directly impact revenue & enhance our international search presence to reach students world-wide.
- Overseeing off-page & on-page SEO for the website, including link building, optimizing content, meta tags, headings, images, & internal linking structure.
- Working closely with web developers to ensure technical SEO best practices are followed, including but not limited to site speed, mobile optimization, URL structure, & schema markup.
- Collaborating with the content team to optimize existing content & create new content that aligns with SEO goals & partnering with product, design, & content teams to ensure SEO is integrated into all digital touchpoints.
- Developing & executing a strategy to enhance our international search presence.
- Performing regular SEO audits & tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of SEO initiatives using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush) to track performance & provide actionable insights to improve traffic & rankings..
THE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering or a related field
- 6+ years of experience as an SEO manager
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, technical, content & international SEO
- Experience working in an international context & addressing a diverse global audience with a strong sense of cultural sensitivity is a must
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, ranking factors & the ability to stay updated with the latest SEO trends & algorithm changes while maintaining site health metrics & aligning with brand standards & values
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar platforms
- A data-driven approach that is closely aligned with the MPOWER mission & having impactful results that reach students around the globe
- A self-starter with an ownership mindset who is comfortable juggling multiple projects at once
- Superior communication, presentation & facilitation skills with the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
- Tech-savvy with the ability to pick up product details with ease
A passion for financial inclusion & access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple time zones & locations!
In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, within a small agile team, embracing fast-evolving roles & responsibilities, variable workload, tight deadlines, & a high degree of autonomy.
