Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Manager, Member Experience Optimization to join our Member Program Strategy & Optimization team.

About the role

You will work with a cross functional team of leaders, project managers, & Business Stakeholders to solve business problems related to internal processes. You will identify critical processes to the business, defining the business' requirements, process mapping & assessing the effectiveness & efficiency of the process, developing new or reengineering existing processes, & supporting implementation. You will support our teams in driving a best-in-class, service-focused operation by designing & guiding the use of operational frameworks & ideologies.

You will report to the Associate Director, MPSO - Optimization.

Work Location:

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, & Washington is: $108,000 - $141,750 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $97,200 - $127,575 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Be the example of the continuous improvement mindset, providing direction & influence, while demonstrating actual results of organizational behavior change in this area
  • Demonstrate the proper approach with implementation of Continuous Improvement Tools both internal to our company & aligned to industry standards
  • Partner with several leaders in all areas of the business to support the work towards core operational improvements influence priorities of partners
  • Optimize processes in service of improving the member experience
  • Use & implement programmatic frameworks & tools while adjusting your approach based on measured outcomes across simultaneous operating improvement projects
  • Create & sustain foundational stability & ensuring scalability within your responsibilities
  • Use process improvement best practices, such & Lean & Six Sigma principles, to engineer/reengineer & implement organizational processes & clear engagement models
  • Provide clear context, in the form of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), process maps, standard operating procedures & policy documents on what is being built & why it's being built.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or 4+ years commensurate experience
  • 4+ years of work experience in operations
  • 4 + years of work experience in health insurance/healthcare
  • 3+ years of experience using data software such as Excel, SQL, or other data analytics tools
  • 3+ years of experience with end-to-end project management
  • 3+ years of experience designing & improving workflows & standing up accompanying operating & technical procedures

Bonus Points

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
  • 3+ years of experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and/or Theory of constraints

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
