About the Team:

The Application Operations team is responsible for creating, enhancing, & supporting our proprietary solutions to unique business problems. The team consists of multiple groups of highly motivated, creative, & technically savvy engineers, testers, & product owners. These groups are responsible for end-to-end ownership of the products that fuel our round-the-clock warehouse operations with an exact focus on reliability, resilience, & scalability across the company.    

About the Job:

The Support Engineer will partner with Rent The Runways logistics operations leaders to ensure all issues are clearly documented & routed to the best team to resolve them. This position will be on the front lines for improving the operation. On a daily basis, you will partner in our fulfillment center to reduce friction due to operational issues & to keep our operations running smoothly. 

What Youll Do:

  • Manage & use multiple tools (APM, Splunk, Jira, Excel, 3rd party, & proprietary) to ensure all applications are running correctly. 
  • Handle operations software-related tickets & fix all associated issues
  • Ownership of applications in the production environment, provide technical support for our applications systems & respond to general questions & trouble tickets in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with development teams to learn & develop as a subject matter expert for Warehouse Operations applications.
  • Through working with various development teams you will research, diagnose, troubleshoot & identify potential solutions for how to resolve issues in the logistics operation, customer service application, e-commerce & mobile applications.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors on technical issues & projects
  • Identify issues with orders, systems or the logistics operation & report all issues to product managers & tech teams
  • On-call support rotation across various time zones including teams in USA & Ireland
  • Triage & manage incidents, write up incident reports
  • Build reporting/dashboards to help monitor catalog metrics 
  • Ensure a consistent approach to change management of production applications, in line with defined processes.
  • Create & update process & technical documentation & manage Jira Confluence

About You:

  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills 
  • Bachelors degree required: engineering, computer science, management concentration is a plus 
  • 1 - 3 yrs experience in application support engineering or related field is a plus
  • The desire to learn & expand mindset with a demonstrated initiative to learn new technologies
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, & research skills with the ability to take responsibility & ownership
  • A driven mindset to solve problems excellent in multitasking & managing multiple priorities & the ability to work with an agile team & follow through on projects to completion.
  • Have a passion for simplification, efficiency & process improvement.
  • Effective communications to help solve technical & data issues 
  • Basic Excel, SQL, Splunk, Python, Java,  Scripting, Github and JIRA knowledge
