About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Director of Product, Platform to lead the strategy, development, & execution of two foundational platforms at SecurityScorecard:

  • SecurityScorecard Platform (current): The core infrastructure that powers all of SecurityScorecards existing products & services.
  • Platform v2 (next-generation): A modernized architecture & services framework, beginning with the first product offering - Supply Chain Detection & Response (SCDR) - & designed to eventually host the rest of our product portfolio

This is a high-visibility leadership role, where youll set the platform vision, guide its execution, & ensure it delivers performance, scalability, & innovation to meet both current & future needs of our business & customers. Youll work cross-functionally with engineering, product teams, operations, customer success, & go-to-market teams to evolve & future-proof SecurityScorecards platform foundation.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead platform product strategy: Own the long-term vision & roadmap for both the current SecurityScorecard Platform & Platform v2.
  • Mature Platform v1 Capabilities: Work with engineering & product teams to deliver & mature platform features for the existing product portfolio
  • Drive Platform v2 execution: Partner with platform engineering on Platform v2 to deliver a modular, scalable platform beginning with its first deployment in SCDR, with a clear migration & adoption path for future products.
  • Scale platform capabilities: Enhance & evolve platform services including data ingestion, processing, scoring, APIs, & internal tooling to support the companys growing product suite.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Align platform strategy with the needs of product teams, engineering, GTM stakeholders, & executive leadership.
  • Support product delivery: Ensure both platforms enable product velocity, quality, & differentiated capabilities for internal & external customers.
  • Champion platform reusability: Advocate for shared services & frameworks to increase engineering efficiency & reduce duplication across teams.
  • Enable performance & security: Define & deliver platform-level SLAs, security posture, & compliance frameworks to support enterprise-grade requirements.
  • Serve as a platform evangelist: Represent the platform internally & externally as a strategic asset & driver of innovation.

What We Need You to Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, including leadership roles in cybersecurity, SaaS, or managed services.
  • Strong preference in platform development or in platform companies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • 5+ years of experience leading managed security services or related offerings.
  • Deep understanding of platform design, APIs, data pipelines, service-oriented architectures, & internal tooling.
  • Experience partnering with engineering leadership to make architectural trade-offs & drive platform modernization efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, particularly in areas like data risk, TPRM, or threat intelligence (a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels, from engineering to executive stakeholders.
  • Skilled at balancing platform priorities across internal product needs, technical debt, & long-term innovation.
  • Data-driven decision-making & strong analytical skills, with experience in platform metrics & observability.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, & strategic planning capabilities.
  • Bachelors degree required; advanced technical or business degree preferred.

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $275,000 - $330,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications & experience, & may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards & equity, among other company benefits.
