We are looking for someone to join our finance team as Senior Project Accountant. The role will be key in driving excellence in our accounting & payables teams. As Senior Project Accountant, you will be crucial for the smooth running of the finance function. You will oversee the procure to pay processes ensuring accuracy & timeliness of reporting. The other key pillar of the role is analysis & execution of accounting projects & process improvements, as well as supporting the accounting team.  Building relationships with stakeholders & adopting an involved approach is necessary to succeed in this role.

You will be based out of our Nordic head office in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen & report to the Head of Finance. HelloFresh Nordics covers Denmark, Sweden & Norway & you will be supporting on projects across all regions.

Main duties

• Analyze & execute accounting projects & process improvements including system implementation; remote resource allocation; improving process documentation; in-depth review
• Ownership of the procure to pay process in finance to ensure accuracy & timeliness of posting.
• Identify inefficiencies with AP processes & deliver solutions with finance analyst
• Assistance with management of 4/5 people across AP & controlling (some offshore).
• Lead broader finance projects e.g. cash flow modeling, capital allocation on Capex, accounting automation.
• Build strong relationships with department leads across logistics, product & production.
• Prepare, review & approve relevant balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare & post month-end journals as needed & support the month-end accounting process. 
• Preparation & expansion of monthly reports to management, including KPI follow-ups
• Preparation of audit deliverables & liaison with auditors
• Ad-hoc reporting as required

You Have

• Qualified Accountant with strong  working knowledge of accounting concepts & standards
• Strong process construction, redesign, & optimisation skills, as well as being able to demonstrate examples of implementation & impact
• Excellent attention to detail, delivering high-quality work with minimal errors.
• Experience or strong working knowledge of the procure to pay process. 
• Financial modeling experience is a plus
• Ability to build trust & good relationships in a climate of open & direct communication
• Ability to teach, train & coach non-financial staff in financial concepts.
