THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION BASED IN WASHINGTON DC, USA

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for developing & managing the entire B2B business in the United States of America, Canada & Mexico. You will be the voice of MPOWER for our end customers & partners in the region. The ideal candidate will be an expert at cultivating & nurturing strategic relationships & generating revenue with partners in the financial services & education industries. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting & executing a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets & set a strong footprint in the region in close collaboration with the broader leadership team
  • Providing in-depth market insights supported by extensive data & analysis to drive strategic decisions about resource investment & impact
  • Developing a network of partners that will engage with a suitable segment of consumers for our Student Loan product
  • Building & maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers at target institutions
  • Effectively articulating the features, benefits, & competitive advantages of our products, demonstrating a deep understanding of the international education opportunity granted by student loan
  •  Representing MPOWER at industry conferences, seminars, & networking events to promote MPOWER & our products
  • Preparing & delivering persuasive sales presentations & proposals, webinars, & pitches at forums to increase engagement & awareness with MPOWERs partners & target population
  • Ensuring accurate & timely reporting of sales activities, pipeline management, & revenue forecasts to senior management & ultimately own the delivery of ambitious regional goals

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • A postgraduate degree in business is preferred
  • 7+ years of demonstrated consultative selling in financial services or Edtech
  • Proven track record of successfully managing B2B sales & delivering sales targets in the region
  • Deep network in the education & financial services space that can be leveraged & can open up new partnership opportunities or the ability to learn & adapt quickly
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, & ability to move between strategic thinking & details. 
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus 
  • Superior communication, presentation, & facilitation skills with the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
  • An understanding of the student journey to higher education in the US/Canada for international students

A passion for financial inclusion & access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple time zones & locations!

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast-growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles & responsibilities, variable workload, tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, & 80-20 everything.
