The role

The Global Category Manager IT will be responsible for overseeing strategic sourcing & contracting in HelloFresh for IT which include collaboration with business to optimize commercials for our software landscape, IT hardware, & infrastructure. The goal is to collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders & major suppliers across the globe & help them to navigate the procurement landscape. In addition, the role will be supporting initiatives targeted to increase the maturity level of Indirect Procurements processes & systems landscape. As part of the IT & Payments Procurement team the position will report to the respective lead based in Berlin.

What youll do

• Conduct detailed spend analysis & benchmarking, evaluate market & competitive conditions, & use as a basis to create data based category strategies & sourcing activities
• Create, align & execute a sourcing roadmap with key stakeholders in the HQ & the local markets to deliver P&L savings & overall procurement value
• Develop & optimize the global software portfolio in close collaboration with teh other team members & the  IT Services team in Tech
• Cultivate & manage close (senior level) relationships with business partners within Tech & other areas of the business with software needs to support their objectives & the company growth agenda
• Act as a point of contact for any IT related procurement questions
• Design & maintain category reporting to senior executives & internal stakeholders
• Lead or participate in the implementation of best-in-class procurement processes & tools

What youll bring

• Minimum 3 years in IT procurement or in Tech with a (strong) commercial focus
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, & supplier management
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, & enjoy working independently
• Experience in spend & market analyses as well as benchmarking
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, including preparing & delivering presentations & reports
• Demonstrated change management & project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust & credibility with business partners
• Strategic thinker yet focused on execution
• Able to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
• Fluent business English
