This position is for Mainframe Application & Open System Development & Production Support in the Client Information Development team. The Client Information Development team is part of the Client Information Clearing & Settlement (CICAS) organization. We are responsible for the development, maintenance & support of business critical applications that support Visa's daily operations. Client Information applications are responsible for the storage, upkeep & dissemination of client information for authorization, clearing, settlement & data mining.
Provide analysis, software design, develop code, unit test & full integration of software into existing platform & architecture
Creates design & system documentation of software artifacts for installation & maintenance
Remain current with latest industry standards & best practices that can be incorporated into existing systems
Identify, evaluate, & develop cost effective development approach that meet business requirements
Analyze business problems & implement technical solutions that will meet these requirements
Communicate effectively to team to derive "best practices" solutions that can be reused
Build & maintain effective relationships across functional areas in order to provide superior product support
Provide rotational 24x7 on call support for problem analysis & resolution as scheduled
Ensure on-schedule delivery of a high quality product that meets business & technical requirements
Participate in design & code review sessions as appropriate
8+ years of experience in Software Development
Strong analytical & organizational skills with a demonstrated aptitude to understand technical environments
Strong teamwork skills & excellent collaboration skills
Excellent written & verbal communications skills
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Results driven & flexible
Self-motivated & able to work under pressure
Preferred but not required: Solid understanding of the Visa environment with an emphasis on the Profile Systems
Ability to translate a Conceptual Approach with the Business Requirement to create a comprehensive development design
Experience in COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM & ISPF Dialog is required.
- Experience as intermediate level in JAVA, SQL, Macro will be preferred
