Senior Contracts Manager

Sumo Logic is looking for a highly motivated Senior Contracts Manager to join its Legal team & report to our Director of Legal Affairs. This role focuses on negotiating & closing a variety of commercial transactions, including our customer & partner arrangements, & designing & implementing new commercial legal processes as we scale our business.

An adaptable individual who enjoys variety, collaborative conversations proposing concrete business solutions, synthesizing information from various teams, & building out infrastructure will thrive in our Legal team.

This is a remote role & we are looking to hire in the Eastern US time zone.

Responsibilities:

  •  Draft & negotiate a variety of commercial transactions, including SaaS customer agreements,
    distribution/reseller agreements, professional services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, BAAs, vendor
    agreements, & other related agreements.
  •  Assist with developing & maintaining contracts-related processes & procedures to scale with companys
    growth, such as developing & maintaining playbook, standard forms, etc.
  •  Partner with sales, sales operations, finance, security, customer success, & other functions to ensure
    efficient & effective legal support for commercial transactions.
  • Assist with other legal team initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-12 years of hands-on experience in drafting & negotiating software license & SaaS
    agreements.
  • Experience in-house at a technology company is a MUST
  • Experience relating to cloud/SaaS specific issues, privacy, security strongly preferred.

    consistent with company objectives, policies, & processes.
  • Excellent negotiator, able to effectively navigate issues externally & internally, including across
    departments, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to successfully manage competing priorities & work independently on a wide range of issues and
    projects, while delivering quality work.
  • Team player with strong business acumen & attention to detail & who recognizes that this role is about
    doing as well as creating a scalable foundation.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, who excels in a fast-paced, time pressured & demanding environment. Must
    be flexible.
  •  Experience with contract management systems a plus.

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary for this position is $135,000-$160,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but arent limited to) role level, skills & competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, & experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, & equity awards.
