The role

As part of the People Technology Operations squad, you will play a crucial role in providing Tier 1 People Technology support to all Workers globally & managing business-critical cyclical activities. This includes business process support, security access, reporting requests, bug fixes, regular system maintenance, auditing & compliance tasks, & overseeing cyclical activities such as FOODIE & Open Enrollment. You will be responsible for the overall maintenance & smooth operation of Workday & other People systems, ensuring they support our People Function effectively.

As the Senior Analyst in the People Technology Operations squad, you will be the first point of escalation for complex queries & requests assigned to the Analysts & Junior Analysts in the squad, you will focus on developing functional solutions to reduce People Technology case volume, & you will support the People Technology Operations Lead in optimizing our Tier 1 service model.

What youll do

  • Act as the first point of escalation for highly complex queries & requests from People Technology Junior Analysts & People Technology Analysts.
  • Spend approximately 40% of your time resolving the most highly complex issues, ensuring critical problems are addressed efficiently.
  • Dedicate approximately 60% of your time to developing functional solutions that proactively reduce People Technology case volume & improve system efficiency.
  • Lead the ongoing maintenance & optimization of Workday & other People systems, ensuring seamless business process execution.
  • Oversee regular system maintenance, audits, & compliance tasks, ensuring adherence to data governance & security policies.
  • Play a key role in supporting cyclical activities such as New Releases, Performance Reviews & Open Enrollment, ensuring smooth execution & process improvements.
  • Support the People Technology Operations Lead in performance management of the wider team & identifying opportunities for growth & development.
  • Provide expert consultation & training to colleagues across People Technology & other functions to enhance system utilization.
  • Drive the optimization of our Tier 1 service model, identifying areas for efficiency & automation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the People Function & beyond to ensure system enhancements align with business needs.

What youll bring

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a Workday or HRIS support role, focusing on Tier 1 support & system maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Security, Business Processes, Reporting & Analytics, Absence Management, & Compensation.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & resolving complex Workday issues, acting as an escalation point within a team.
  • A problem-solving mindset with experience in developing functional solutions to improve efficiency & reduce ticket volume.
  • A deep understanding of HR structures, processes, & compliance requirements.
  • Experience in performance management support & mentoring team members.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze large datasets & identify trends.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment & manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with auditing, compliance, & security management within Workday.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in SCRUM or Agile methodologies is a plus.
