IBM Linux Toolchain Architect Steve Munroe will be presenting an overview of the POWER architecture as implemented in OpenPOWER. He will also be presenting an overview of operating Linux on thePowerarchitecture, including considerations to keep in mind when porting applications. If there is time Steve will share the OpenPOWER roadmap.
There will be plenty of time for questions!

Speaker Bio:
Steve Munroeis a member of theIBMLinux Technology Center (LTC) and has been the Linux on Power Toolchain Architect for 10 years.
Steve has 42 years of professional experience, while working on a plethora of OS and Application projects, too numerous to mention. Steven has spent the last 15 years working on Linux and open source starting with the Powerpc64 port for GLIBC.
