Do you identify as a woman and have an interest in making games that are playable across web-capable devices? If so, Code Liberation invites you to attend our Vector Graphics Game Development workshops using Processing!

If you've ever played an original Asteroids arcade game and thought "wish we could still make games that looked like that" Now we can! Trammell Hudson from NYC Resistor has developed some hardware that will allow us to drive the vector monitors to play a whole series of emulator games. We thought it'd be super fun to create original content for these gorgeous retro-graphic displays and were so excited we did a talk about it at this year's Chaos Communications Congres 32C3

Join Code Liberation at NYC Resistor for a vector game design class in Processing where we will run through object classes, how to create sprites from vector graphics and produce a working game. We will have multiple monitors in the space so you can have your games shown on a real vector display! We are also be organizing a demo event at Babycastles shortly after so we'd love for you to keep producing games or vector art to be shown there.

Adelle Lin creates experiences that integrate the digital and physical in playful ways. By day she produces interactives for the New-York Historical Society Museum and by night is a playful unicorn at NYC Resistor. Working with Open Frameworks, Unity, VR and physical computing elements, she has exhibited games at Burning Man, A Maze. Festival, Maker Faire New York, Come Out and Play Festival, and Different Games Conference. Having lived in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, she sees the world through her multi-colored glasses.

Holly is a member of NYC Resistor, a hackerspace in Brooklyn, New York. She began as a non-traditional member: a grad student in nutrition with a side-interest in technology. As a member she learned she could do magic -- making things move and blink with code! -- and she now teaches introductory programming classes at the space and in New York City public schools.
