<P>The competitive world of restaurant cheffing has long been considered something of a "boys club". But today's kitchen is a far cry from male dominated. From dining rooms, to food media, to homegrown businesses -- women are stepping into the spotlight and gaining some well-deserved attention.</P>
<P>In this installment of <EM>Talk&Taste: Evenings at Essex Street Market</EM>, we'll hear from four female food entrepreneurs who have taken their ideas and passions, and turned them into successful careers.</P>
<P>Moderating our panel discussion will be Caroline Shin, founder of the acclaimed web series <A HREF="http://www.cookingwithgranny.tv/" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow">Cooking With Granny</A>. Our panelists will include DeDeLahman, Co-Owner of the beloved <A HREF="https://clintonstreetbaking.com/" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow">Clinton Street Baking Company</A>; Claudia Wu, Co-Founder and Creative Directorof <A HREF="http://cherrybombe.com/" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow">Cherry Bombe</A> magazine; and Shalini <SPAN>Singh</SPAN>, Founder and Instructor at <A HREF="http://www.shaliniskitchen.com/" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow">Shalini's Kitchen</A>.</P>
<P>Our evening will start with a tasting at 6:30pm of savory bites from Clinton Street Bakery and handpicked cheese samples from Anne Saxelby (owner of <A HREF="https://saxelbycheese.com/" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow">Saxelby Cheesemongers</A> at Essex Street Market), followed by a panel discussion from 7-8pm.</P>
