Great design is everywhere. In a world thats gone digital its impact is vast. The types of systems and designs we create are no longer only for a small group of early adopters, but have changed the way we live our lives. Our creations have begun to shift and define societal norms so isnt it time we ask ourselves whether we like this digital world that weve helped to create? If we arent satisfied with the implications we should be talking about what we can do to effect or alter its course. In this session our speaker Lis Hubert will discuss the impact of our design work in todays digital world and foster discussion. Attendees should look to leave with a new awareness, opinions and ideas on how to change the future.
About the Presenter:
Lis Hubert is a New York City-based independent information architecture consultant whose present and past clients include MLB Advanced Media, ESPN Mobile, espnW, Viacom Media Networks, and NewsCorp. Former Chief Experience Officer for 8coupons she has spoken at conferences around the world on topics ranging from user experience to independent consulting, and is also a frequent contributor to the UX communitys knowledge base, writing for publications such as UX Matters and teaching industry classes for resources such as TeamTreehouse.com.
