About This Event
Overview:
Run 4 All Women tells the story of four women who proved the power of running as a vehicle for social change. Running from Harlem, NY to Washington DC in the depth of winter in hopes of arriving in time for the historic 2017 Womens March, these four women engaged global support to successfully cover the 252 mile journey & raise over $100,000 for Planned Parenthood in just 20 days. Run 4 All Women is a story of resilience, friendship, & the power of running & grassroots activism to create meaningful change.
Take part in the empowering story of Run 4 All Women as a vehicle for grassroots community activism & engagement. Explore the tools used by the team to raise funds & fire up participation on social media platforms & tools. Each attendee should walk away inspired & informed on storytelling, entrepreneurship & crowdsourcing.

Jennifer Villany
Internet Product Veteran
Jen is an internet product veteran with a passion for improving our increasingly connected lives through the software & services. Leading a career thriving on innovation, she has rolled her sleeves up to work for some of the worlds biggest brands. She loves running, has completed 7 marathons, 22 half marathons & countless other races. Jen will be running the New York City Marathon on behalf of Planned Parenthood in 2017.
Alison Mariella Dsir
Founder, Harlem Run & Run For All Women
Named by Women's Running as one of twenty women who are changing the sport of running & the world, Alison is the founder of Harlem Run & Run 4 All Women, & just launched the podcast Finding Meaning (on the RUN), available on iTunes, Google Music, SoundCloud & Stitcher. Alison is currently featured alongside American Ballet Theatre principal ballerina Misty Copeland, world champion sprinter Natasha Hastings, professional stuntwoman Jessie Graff, & Chinese taekwondo champion & actress Zoe Zhang (Lanxin Zhang) in Under Armors latest global campaign, Unlike Any, which celebrates & honors the unprecedented achievements of female athletes that rise above gender comparisons & stand on their own as marvels of athletic prowess.
Mary Arnold
Co-Leader, November Project
With over a decade of experience in sports & fitness marketing in New York City & thousands of race miles behind her, Mary is an innovator in the running specialty space. She got her start as a running coach & has been going non-stop since. Currently, the small business owner co-leads the NYC chapter of November Project, a free fitness movement in 43 cities across the world. In her spare time, she trains for ultra-distance (>26.2 miles) races that have taken her on adventures from the mountains of Leadville, Colorado to the Dolomites of Cortina d' Ampezzo, Italy.
Erin Clarke (Moderator)
Journalist, NY1 News
Erin is an award-wining journalist with NY1 News in New York City. She's covered everything from features to devastating natural disasters like Superstorm Sandy to some of the biggest crime stories in New York City. Erin is a native New Yorker who doesn't take 'No" for an answer, so it's no surprise that in her spare time, you can catch her challenging herself on a run through the city. To date, she's competed in several half-marathon. Erin earned a Bachelors of Art in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh & a Masters of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University's prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the The New York & National Association of Black Journalists.
