Taking place from September 17th 22nd during IFPs signature event, IFP Film Week, the Screen Forward Conference features public programming, panels, and the opportunity to meet with todays most exciting independent filmmakers, content creators, and industry leaders. The first wave of Conference programming includes special appearances from Academy Award winner Laura Poitras (CITIZENFOUR), actress and activist Rose McGowan, Rebecca Hall and Antonio Campos (of the upcoming Christine), Ezra Edelman (O.J.: Made in America),comedian and podcaster Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens), Refinery29 CCO Amy Emmerich in conversation with writer and comedian Jacqueline Novak, and case studies of 2016 hits Weiner, The Fits, Hello, My Name is Doris, and The Witch, with more programming to be announced in the coming weeks.

As you may have heard, after 37 years in Manhattan, IFP Film Week is moving across the river to Brooklyn. The event will set up shop in DUMBO anchored around our headquarters, the Made in NY Media Center by IFP. Since its downtown beginnings as the Independent Feature Film Market (IFFM) in 1979, IFP Week has evolved into a must-attend gathering for the global storytelling community. It remains the only international co-production market for film and now television, webbased series, and VR projects in the United States, with over 150 projects from over 22 countries curated and presented as worksinprogress each year.

We would appreciate your help in spreading the word! To make this years Film Week better than ever, we are relying on the support from our community to get the word out about all the amazing programming thats headed to DUMBO, centered around our home base at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP. More information about purchasing passes, Screen Forward Conference programming, and general questions about Film Week can be found at our new dedicated website. Any and all ways that you can share this information with your readers goes a long way and is greatly appreciated!
