<P CLASS="CABInormal">The GODAN Summit will bring together world leaders, researchers, farmers, students and others - public, private and non-profit united around a collaboration on agriculture and nutrition data openness. Join the largest event ever planned for open data in agriculture and nutrition. The goals of the Summit are to<SPAN>illustrate the opening, the use, and the importance of agriculture and nutrition data.</SPAN></P>
<P>For the first time in human history, the knowledge to end hunger exists on Earth. </P>
<P>Experts tell us that we currently produce enough food on planet Earth to adequately feed the world population. Yet, nearly 800 million people struggle with debilitating hunger and malnutrition in every corner of the globe, one in every nine people, with the majority being women and children. We are convinced that the solution to closing this unacceptable hunger gap lies within agriculture and nutrition data. The GODAN Summit will showcase innovative open data success stories from across the world.</P>
<P>The Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) initiative is rapidly growing with over 295 partners including national governments, non-governmental, international and private sector organizations, that agree with the principles in the GODAN <A HREF="http://godan.us13.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=b079dcae2a1e09010f223a6a6&id=eaa8d76f07&e=4724775c88" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow">Statement of Purpose</A>.GODAN supports the proactive sharing of open data to make information about agriculture and nutrition available, accessible and usable to deal with the urgent challenge of ensuring world food security. </P>

<P><STRONG>Are there ID requirements to enter the event?</STRONG></P>
<P>An official government ID (e.g. U.S. Drivers license, Passport) will be required upon entry to the Summit. The name on the ID must match the name used for registration.</P>
<P><STRONG><SPAN>Is there any support available for visa application?</SPAN></STRONG></P>
<P><SPAN>During registration you will be asked if you require a letter to support visa application. Please complete all the required information. Upon completion, your registration will be reviewed and you may receive a letter of invitation in 3-5 business days, in the email you provided.</SPAN></P>
<P><STRONG>What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?</STRONG></P>
<P>Attendees are responsible for making their own transport and parking arrangements.</P>
<P><STRONG>Is there a list of recommended hotels?</STRONG></P>
<P>For your convenience, we have compiled a list of hotels that are within 10 minutes walking distance from the New York Hilton Midtown.</P>

<P><STRONG>Why is there a registration fee?</STRONG></P>
<P><SPAN CLASS="author-p-43690">At the heart of the GODAN mission is the focus on global food insecurity. As part of the Summit, attendees will be provided nourishment throughout the two-day event. Summit planners seek to minimize food waste at the Summit and as such seek a nominal registration fee to ensure commitment on part of registrants to attend so that planners avoid <SPAN>food waste</SPAN>to the extent possible</SPAN>.<SPAN>Registration fee does not include visa costs, travel, accommodation or any other expenses incurred by the registrant.</SPAN></P>
