<P><SPAN>The Nordic Consulates General & Danish Cleantech Hub are proud to host the conference<I>Arctober Goes Nordic - Integrating Design & Health in Urban Redevelopment Projects</I>.</SPAN></P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Urban redevelopment projects offer the opportunity of completely integrating the built environment with design that favors human health, productivity, & renewable energy. Though these developments often come at a higher initial monetary cost, a majority ofbuilding owners in both the US & the Nordic region are willing to pay more for buildings that improve public health & productivity.</SPAN></P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>The Nordic region offers strong best practices with the natural link between design, health & livability. With theflagship project,<I>Nordic Sustainable Cities</I>,this is further promoted as part ofthe Nordic Prime Ministers new initiative Nordic Solutions to Global Challenges.</SPAN></P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>This panel session will explore how the approach towards creating urban redevelopment projects here in New York, such as the Brooklyn Navy Yard, compares to Nordic best practices within design & public health in the built environment. </SPAN></P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>The session is hosted in collaboration with the Norwegian Consulate General, Consulate General of Denmark, Consulate General of Finland, Consulate General of Sweden, Consulate General of Iceland andDanish Cleantech Hub.</SPAN></P>
