On Saturday, June 4th, we will unveil NYCs latest urban forest dataset, the most spatially accurate map of New York Citys street trees ever created. Join NYC Parks, TreesCount! partners, and tree care volunteers to learn more about your urban forest and what it reveals about the impact of trees on our daily lives. Bring your skills, questions, and creativity to this data jam!

Last year, NYC Parks launched the TreesCount! campaign to spark and sustain public engagement with NYCs urban forest. To date, more than 2,300 New Yorkers have dedicated countless hours helping NYC Parks with the third complete inventory since 1995. This is the first comprehensive map of our citys street trees.
Now, its your turn to help us transform the data, gathered thus far, into actionable insights.

Join us to improve our understanding of and plan for the future our Citys urban forest! Whether you are new to hacking or experienced, bring your data expertise and join us for NYCs first TreesCount! Data Jam and Workshop.
