Come to join us at Fullstack Academy for a fun day of hardware hacking and coding!

This is a 1 day workshop for beginner and intermediate programmers looking to explore the exciting world of hardware. With the rise of wearable technology and the Internet of Things (all our real world devices and appliances are becoming connected to the web), connecting software and hardware is becoming more important to know AND easier to do!

At this meetup, you'll be working with Tessels and coding in JavaScript to make a piece of hardware come to life! The workshop will involve wiring up the hardware (a Tessel and an accessory) and writing code to make it do some cool things!

There are two types of tickets:

1) Basic ($75) - full day workshop at Fullstack Academy, learning how to set up and program a Tessell, connect it to a web app, and more

2) Premium ($175)- All the benefits of a Basic ticket, plus you get to keep the Tessell you work with during the workshop, and the accessories! So after learning how to hack with a Tessell, you can bring it home and work on it more!

Here's what we'll be building:

A stop-motion camera (the TESSEL-OPTICON).

A script to create a gif of your images

Integration with the Twitter API to post your gifs to Twitter

Skills you need to complete the workshop:

Basic/Intermediate Javascript

Prior experience with libraries/APIs such as jQuery

The ability to read and work with documentation.

If you have any questions shoot us an email at hello@fullstackacademy.com!
