<P>On September 22, 2017,NYIT is hosting the second Cybersecurity challenge in the series introducingstudents to Cryptography through an exciting one day event that requires students to work as a team to solve clues in a high-tech scavenger hunt.<BR><BR>Student teams will need to break codes using various cryptographic methods & techniques using Cesar Ciphers, Transposition Ciphers, Book Ciphers, & Steganography to locate the clues that will lead them to the next clue. Teams will be judged by members ofthe NYIT Cybersecurity faculty.<BR><BR>Cryptography is the use of codes & ciphers to protect information & has been used for thousands of years. Today, we use it as the front line between our top secret information & those who seek to attain it.<BR><BR>The NYIT Cybersecurity Challenge Series has been created to introduce NYIT students to real world Cybersecurity principles & techniques & to provide them with high-impact,hand-on experience before they enter the workforce.</P>
<P>Manhattan participants will be in 1855 Broadway, 3rd floor of library. Old Westbury participatns will be in the ETIC,Harry Schure Hall, Room 107.</P>
