Ryan Glover - From Zero to MVP
Building your first app can be tough. When you have a big idea but dont know how to translate whats in your mind to pixels on screen, things can get frustrating. In this talk, Ryan Glover from The Meteor Chef will teach you how to get your MVP off the ground using the Meteor JavaScript platform. Hell show you why Meteor is a great fit for early-stage startups and small businesses by teaching you how to build an MVP for a fictional company Gather (a Meetup.com competitor). Youll learn how to build an interface using React.js, create, read, update, and delete data from a MongoDB database, and see just how easy it is to bring your own ideas to life by utilizing Meteor.

Ryan Glover is the founder of and author at The Meteor Chef, a site dedicated to teaching you how to build your big ideas with the Meteor JavaScript platform. Ryan is six-foot tall, made of solid gold, and is based in Chicago, IL where he co-organizes Meteor Chicago. Hes been designing and developing things on the web for the past nine years and doesnt see any reason to stop now. He also has an affinity for the word turkey. Just go with it.

Harry Wolff - What is Apollo?
When React came out with JSX, developers were aghast that they put their templates inside their JavaScript. Then a new wave of anger erupted when people started putting their CSS inside their JavaScript. The last great area of scandal is upon us thanks to GraphQL - now you can colocate your data right alongside your JavaScript, templates, and styles. Apollo is a new stack from the Meteor Development Group that is rich implementation of GraphQL for both the server and the client. It fully embraces the open source model and makes sharing data between the server and the client easy and fun.

Harry Wolff is Senior UI Engineer at MongoDB and an active open source creator and blogger. He's located in NYC and loves discovering and playing with new software that makes it easy to create new applications as quickly and easily as possible. His new pet project is a static site generator named Reptar. He's very active on Twitter (find him there) and has a very loud laugh.
