[For WordPress.ORG users]

Learning the ins and outs of the WordPress themes and the Dashboard isn't a no-brainer, but it's something you can get the hang of pretty much on your own. However, there will inevitably come a time when you think, "Shoot. I need to learn to code." Navigating the mass of online tutorials (of varying quality) and the sea of code schools is no joke. Should you learn JavaScript? HTML and CSS? Ruby on Rails? PHP? Java?! What are those, anyhow? The choices are endless, and the available guidance is minimal.

In this session we will demystify the ambiguous term "coding" by discussing the concepts behind front-end and back-end languages and looking at their relationship to WordPress. You will leave knowing exactly what languages to learn to take your WordPress skills to the next level and with an inventory of resources for learning on your own.
