A key component in narrative based games is the ability to engage characters in dialogues, which in some cases can alter the course of the story. Too often, however, dialogue in games is overlooked in favor of other elements. This writing workshop will cover the basics of writing believable dialogue, examine how to best deliver exposition & information in a natural way, & designing situations where dialogue can increase player interactivity. All attendees will be asked to complete several writing exercises, so willingness to participate & have your work read aloud is required!
