WWCode events are intended for all women (trans and cis), trans men, and genderqueer folks who are interested in attending. We are emphatically queer and trans friendly and committed to matters of social justice as an organization. Select events may be open to the general public, which will be clearly noted in event descriptions. Our Code of Conduct is in effect at all of our events. https://github.com/WomenWhoCode/guidelines-resources/blob/master/code_of_conduct.md
If you have any questions, please message the Directors of this chapter.

Description: So, youve done a JavaScript tutorial or two, and you know the difference between a string and an array. You even know how to create a basic function and a for loop. Now what?

Take your JavaScript skills to the next level and learn all about nested loops. Youll need this tool in your belt to apply to coding bootcamps and pass coding challenges in job interviews. Plus, you can use nested loops to create cool things like pyramids!

Well go through a few JavaScript nested loop problems together and give you a few problems to do on your own.

If you haven't written a line of code, or you are totally new to JavaScript, please complete this online tutorial at Codecademy: https://www.codecademy.com/learn/javascript. If you are a resident of New York City and have a NYC library card, you may have free access to this tutorial at Lynda.com: https://www.lynda.com/JavaScript-tutorials/JavaScript-Essential-Training/81266-2.html.

Either tutorial will teach you the JavaScript basics you need for learning about nested loops!

6:30 7:00 Arrive, get set up
7:00 7:10 Welcome from WWCode, Priceline.com
7:15 8:30 Workshop
8:30 Wrap up!

Hosts: At priceline.com, part of The Priceline Group [NASDAQ: PCLN], we believe every trip matters. We provide travelers smart and easy ways to save on hotel rooms, airline tickets, rental cars, vacation packages and cruises.

Instructors: Taffy Chen and Elizabeth Funk have experience creating full stack JavaScript web applications using Node, Express, Angular and React. They are both front end developers at Priceline.com and use JavaScript every day.
Taffy and Elizabeth started learning JavaScript on their own. They both fell in love with programming, but learning on your own can be challenging, especially when you encounter intermediate concepts such as recursion, looping through object properties and, of course, nested loops. They created this workshop so that you wont have to struggle on your own. Plus, they enjoy sharing their love of JavaScript with others.
