Game design teaches us valuable tools of system thinking, user testing, prototyping, and learning from failure. In this class, we look at how games apply these tools when we tackle serious topics and methods of gamifying non-game experiences. Analyzing these techniques gives us new ways to think about incentives, feedback, motivations, and user identity.
If you want to learn more about the class format, if you have questions about basic skills you might need to use, if you want to learn more about the specifics of the course, please contact Derrick Foust at dfoust@nymediacenter.com.
