On June 10, 2014, TEDxFultonStreet will host its inaugural event, titled "Chrysalis: A Transformation," at Pace University's Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts. Chrysalis will bring together a mix of entrepreneurs, technologists, artists, architects, thinkers, dreamers, scientists, and doers: creative individuals that seek inspiration from an immersive and cross-disciplinary experience.
Throughout the event, attendees will hear from a lineup of over 25 thought leaders who have each changed the world, in the area(s) of technology, entertainment, or design. These creatively inspired individuals will talk about how their innovations came to be, their research, or their visions for the future. There is one stage so that every attendee can see every presentation: no split stages, no breakout sessions, no panel discussions, no Q&A: only concise, original presentations of never-before-seen content, directly from the source or creator, talking about their process or discovery or vision for the future. The day will consist of four segments: from Fantasy to Reality; from Private to Public; from Analog to Digital; and from Out of the Blue. The speaker lineup includes:
