Presented by StartOut in collaboration with WeWork, Quit the Cubicle features a panel of successful entrepreneurs who left the corporate world to start their own businesses. The panelists will speak about their personal journey, the successes and challenges while offering advice and insights valuable to anyone looking to build or join a startup.
Our panel will talk about why they decided to leave the corporate world. How they took the leap of faith and how they were able to make it work.
After initial introductions and questions from our moderator we'll open it up for Q&A. We'll close with drinks and networking so you can meet fellow aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, our panel, and other members of the StartOut Community.

Nathalie du Preez
Nathalie is the Founder and CEO of Bunchcut. Bunchcut is an enterprise SaaS platform that allows teams to efficiently and effectively manage images and campaigns. Prior to Bunchcut, Nathalie worked as a Marketing Strategist for NET-A-PORTER, a Brand Manager at Colgate Palmolive and an Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Nathalie received her undergraduate degree from The Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Bunchcut quickly grew to thousands of users and is a recent graduate of the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator program.
Carlo Cisco
Carlo is the Founder & CEO of SELECT. SELECT transforms any credit or debit card into a black card that provides access to exclusive events, savings, and perks at thousands of locations across the globe. The company has established exclusive partnerships with top rated local restaurants and nightlife venues as well as premier global brands in travel, retail, entertainment and more. Prior to SELECT, Carlo was the Founder & CEO of FoodFan and worked as a Business Development and Corporate Strategy Consultant for Groupon Asia, an Equity Trader at AMR Capital and Wealth Management Analyst at First Investors Corporation.
Since launching in July 2014, SELECT's community has grown to over 7,000 paying members and has over 20,000 partner locations participating in the program.
Jimmy Lyons
Jimmy is the Co-Founder and CEO of advisorCONNECT. advisorCONNECT facilitates client acquisition by offering a one-stop shop for advisors, brokers and wealth managers to find prospective clients. The company turbo-charges client prospecting with its client search engine and PrecisionMatching technology. Prior to starting advisorCONNECT Jimmy worked as a Client Representative with Edmiston & Company, a Relationship Manager with BNY Mellon and an Investment Associate with Grayling.
AdvisorCONNECT is a graduate of the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, has raised from prominent angel investors and works with Fortune 100 companies.
Aleksander Vukasinovic
Aleksander is the Founder & CEO of emozia. emozia is a company that seeks to enable products and services to understand and respond to human emotion. The company brings an emotionally intelligent world to life by enabling apps, brands and services to incorporate emotive recognition in their products and services. Prior to founding emozia, Aleksander worked as a Research Assistant at the Neurophysiology Taste Laboratory and as the Director of the SA Institute for Student Research at Binghampton University.
Emozia graduated from the Founders Institute and has secured financing from prominent New York angel investors including members of the StartOut community.
