Maura Pally
Senior Vice President of Programs & Acting Chief Development Officer,
Clinton Foundation
About This Event
Overview: A panel event, presented by General Assembly & the Clinton Foundation, showcasing several innovative programs that are making the business case for investing in Opportunity Youth.
Why Its Important: Nearly six million young Americans between the ages of 16 to 24 are out of school & out of work a group known as Opportunity Youth. This often leaves youth without the work experience & post-secondary credentials needed to find employment, at a great cost to the individual youth, local communities, & the country.
The good news, according to an analysis by the Bridgespan Group, is that nearly six million entry-level jobs will be created from 2012 to 2022 that dont require a college degree.
To help fill this gap, companies & nonprofit organizations around the country have stepped up to provide the necessary training & mentoring to help young people find successful career pathways.
Press registration is now open to the members of the media. To apply, please complete this form (https://goo.gl/DE7Zsc). The deadline to apply is August 21.
