The App Idea Awards, hosted by General Assembly, ROKO Labs, NY Harvard Angels of Greater NY and Columbia Venture Community is a competition inviting people to submit app ideas (or apps with less than 1,000 monthly active users).
The best submission will have their app built for free! Up to $70K in product design and development - no equity taken, and all intellectual property will remain with the apptrepreneur.
The judging panel is comprised of representatives from First Round Capital, Samsung Ventures, Greycroft, Oak Investment Partners, and more.
Applications close on March 31, 2016. However, finalists will be chosen on a rolling basis starting in January, so the sooner you get in your application, the better chances you have to become a finalist!
Join us at General Assembly for the App Idea Awards LAUNCH PARTY. We'll have one of our judges, Nnamdi Okike from 645 Ventures, join us for a fireside chat. He will talk about how he evaluates seed investments and answer questions form the audience. Applications will be taken, questions will be answered, and drinks will be shared to celebrate the launch.
