<P><SPAN>Genspace is proud to announce our Brooklyn Barcoding Program, an initiative that provides much-needed science outreach & STEAM education to the New York area.</SPAN>A key component of our new Brooklyn Barcoding Program is a Genomics Lecture & Workshop series, which is intended to introduce audiences to contemporary issues in genomic research.</P>
<P>We are excited to welcome Chris Mason as the third lecturer in the series. The Mason lab is discovering & designing genomes for Earth, Mars, & beyond.<SPAN>They are working on a</SPAN>ten-phase, 500-year plan<SPAN>for the survival of the human species on Earth, in space, & on other planets.</SPAN></P>

<P>About the lecturer:</P>
<P><STRONG>Christopher Mason, PhD</STRONG></P>
<P><SPAN>Dr. Christopher Mason completed his dual B.S. in Genetics & Biochemistry (2001) from University of Wisconsin-Madison, his Ph.D. in Genetics (2006) from Yale University, & then completed post-doctoral training in clinical genetics (2009) at Yale Medical School while jointly a post-doctoral Fellow of Genomics, Ethics, & Law at Yale Law School (2009). He is currently an Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine, with appointments at the Tri-Institutional Program in Computational Biology & Medicine between Cornell, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center & Rockefeller University, the Sandra & Edward Meyer Cancer Center, & the Feil Family Brain & Mind Research Institute.</SPAN></P>
