Join Academy Award-winning John Attard, Lead Technologist at Playing Forward, & Anna Andoni, Researcher at HITLAB, on July 25 in NYC for a fireside chat. Meet John Attard
John Attard comes to his current position as Co-Founder & CTO of Playing Forward following a career as an award-winning specialist in visual effects supervision & digital production architecture.Most recently, John has provided digital pipeline consultancy services to the largest film productions & most valuable franchises in the entertainment industry including:Star Wars: The Force Awakens(Disney), The Jungle Book(Disney), Superman vs. Batman(Warner Bros.), Guardians of the Galaxy 2(Marvel), andAvengers 3(Marvel).John has received honorary doctorates from both Suor Orsola Benincasa University & La Normale University in Italy.As well as being a member of the Academy Award-winning visual effects team on Ridley Scott'sGladiator, starring Russell Crowe, John is also the winner of a Davide Di Donatello for visual effects on the film20 Cigarettes.One of John's earliest jobs (1995-1997) was as team leader at The Digital Village for the creation of computer graphics on the video gameThe Starship Titanic,written by the legendary Douglas Adams. John & his team won industry awards for Best Game Graphics of the Year.
