He is the CEO of the Brainworks Foundry, a fully-automated, ai-driven operating & holding company, & the Managing Partner of Brainworks Ventures. Both entities leverage the latest AI technologies to create, operate, & scale AI-enabled companies to address global challenges.
Brainworks grew out of Dr. Alvelda's stint in the Obama Administration's DARPA | Biological Technologies Office where he developed national-scale R&D programs & technologies at the intersection of AI & neuroscience, & to catalyze the Brain-Machine Interface Industry.
Dr. Alvelda holds over 30 patents & patents-pending on a wide range of technologies, a technical Emmy Award, a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Cornell University, & Masters & PhD degrees in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from MIT's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
