Join the Sciences Po Alumni Associatiion for a discussion with Alexander Mars, Founder & CEO of Epic Foundation.
In less than 3 years, over half of the working population will be millennials. Those 18-35 nurture different expectations. They grew up with the idea that they should change the world, & that disruptive dimension is now entirely part of their operating system. As they observe our societies, they see profound injustices & the failure of traditional safety nets to address the growing need for help. They turn to civil society -- companies & individuals -- & demand that those embrace their responsibility to share their success to help others. This expectation puts pressure on corporations who seek to attract & retain these youth as employees, as customers, sometimes even as investors. Millennials refuse to consume brands that do not cultivate social impact; they refuse to join companies that fail to register social good as a tangible driver of their operations. Yet most companies are yet to adapt to this wave of social disruption, & many are entirely unequipped to begin this cultural shift. In this presentation, serial entrepreneur & philanthropist Alexandre Mars will explain how corporations can position themselves to embrace the social disruption & strategically deploy painless, systemic & optional solutions to remain relevant.
