EVENT DETAILS |
For six weeks each summer, high school students from around the city come to Columbia's Department of Biomedical Engineering to learn the biodesign process & apply it to real-world biomedical problems of their identification. The students then devise solutions to those problems, create testable prototypes, & form business plans related to their innovations. We have an exciting array of designs this summer, ranging from a device that performs at-home skin cancer detection to a method for detecting accidental extubation in infant ICUs. ThePresentationEvent is the culminating activity of the program - our student teams will give short talks & poster presentations explaining their problems & the devices that they have created to address these real-world needs.
The event will be held in the Davis Auditorium in the CEPSR building on Columbia University's Morningside Heights campus. For detailed directions, please check the following link -http://apam.columbia.edu/directions-davis-auditorium-cepsr
